       拳击界的朋友们、各位贵宾、各位女士先生：
       本人谨代表国际拳联这个大家庭，向各位介绍一段值得纪念的时期：国际拳联－吴经国领导下的十年
       十年前在多米尼加首府圣多明各，吴经国历经激烈的选战后，以些微票数击败乔德利，当选国际拳联主席，这场胜选对日后国际拳联的发展是个重要的里程碑。
       我深信，吴先生在国际奥委会的崇高地位让这场胜选挽救了奥运拳击于危亡。
       过去兢兢业业的十年里，国际拳联取得长足进展，开展了世界拳击的新时代。
       诸多重大改革与计划将拳击运动提升至今日的崇高地位，并跻身于备受欢迎的奥林匹克运动之列。
       2007年在芝加哥举行的国际拳联代表大会上，吴主席宣布：「国际拳联的首要使命是成为各类拳击的最高权责机构」。在他的领导下，国际拳联持续精进各种作为：
       ·增修宪章、施行细则、技术规则与竞赛制度。
       ·严格考核各类官员(如国际技术官员、技术代表[后更名为督导长])。
       ·加重赛场内国际技术官员的责任、调整选手制服之设计。
       ·全球与洲际赛事申办过程的透明化。
       ·提升拳击装备的质量，确保运动员健康。
       ·基于吴主席所言：「运动员的健康是我们的首要之务。」，提出HeadsUp!计划，透过对健康的教育持续发展拳击运动。
       ·落实反禁药运动：令我们倍感荣耀的是，拳击是奥运中最干净的项目之一。
       ·于哈萨克斯坦成立国际拳联拳击学院，成为全球拳击运动的重镇，针对教练、裁判、医生、伤势照护员等举办各项训练与认证课程。
       ·设立世界拳击联赛。
       ·设立国际拳联职业拳击赛－
       吴主席藉此让优异运动员得以在国际拳联的架构内延续运动生命。
       开放其他组织之职业选手参加里约奥运不仅是拳击运动史上最为果敢的决定，也真实反映了拳击爱好者希望这项运动能统合在一个组织内。
       制定新的计分制度、取消成年男子选手头盔、召开国际拳联临时代表大会、修定技术与比赛规则、以及规划新的奥运会期程等，均系为了提升拳击运动所采纳的最新作法。
       国际拳联主席的责任繁重，但吴主席总说：「工作尚未完成。」
       在其领导期间，吴主席透过密切联系、落实承诺、走访各地参与各项纪念、庆祝、文化、政治与会议等活动，支持全球基层拳击之发展，使国际拳联会员国达到200的标竿。
       吴主席是奉献、团结与奥林匹克精神的典范。
       值此欢庆的时刻，我们亦应感谢另外一个人，就是吴夫人。她总是面对吴主席无数的出访与旅行做准备，而自己独守家门耐心地等候丈夫的归来。
       伟大的男人背后总有个伟大的女人。谨代表所有人向吴夫人说声：谢谢您。
       敬爱的朋友们，国际拳联身为国际单项运动总会，其展现的强大与效率均归功于我们的主席，我们深感荣耀能参加国际拳击联合会的70周年庆，并同庆国际拳联在吴主席领导下的第10周年。

Ten Years of AIBA President WU’s leadership
Dear Boxing Friends, Distinguishedguests, Ladies and gentlemen,
On behalf of AIBA Family, I have agreat pleasure to introduce a great anniversary: Ten Years of AIBA President WU’s leadership.
Ten years ago in Santo Domingo Dr.Ching-Kuo Wu was elected AIBA President after a hard fight versus Prof.Chowdhry.  It was a very close bout andDr. Wu won on points, but that victory represented a milestone for the AIBA’sfuture.
I am sure that thanks to his highposition in the IOC, this step saved Boxing in the Olympic Program.
During these intensive ten years,AIBA made an extraordinary progress and launched a new era for boxingworldwide. Many important reforms and initiatives have helped bring boxing upto the prestigious position it holds today amongst the most popular Olympicsport. Starting from the Congress in Chicago 2007 where President WU declaredthat AIBA’s paramount mission is ‘to govern boxing in all its forms’, and underhis leadership AIBA continued to modernize and renew its commitment to a newera of boxing.
A few of the many achievements madein this decade have been:
·Revision of AIBA Statutes, Bylaws, Technical Rules andCompetition System.
·New Certification Management System for Officials(like ITOs, T.D. and then Supervisor) formed and selected by rigorousexaminations.
·New duties for ITOs in the FOP which has beenappropriately amended along with boxer’s uniforms
·Clear pathway for biddings to awarded and host majorworld and continental competitions.
·Great attention to the boxing equipment in order tosafeguard the health of boxers.
·HeadsUp Campaign based on the 4core principles: HEALTH, EDUCATION, SPORTand   SUSTAINABILITY.  President WU said “The health of boxers is our top priority”  
·Toughly fighting to compete in a doping-free sport. Weare happy that Boxing is one of the cleanest Olympic Sport.
·Great effort was made to train Coaches, R&Js, RingsideDoctors, Cutman through AIBA certification carry out by AIBA World BoxingAcademy in Kazakhstan, which is one of the most important and cultural boxinghub worldwide.
·The new, entertaining and innovative competition inWSB
·Another historical step was made creating theprofessional competition: AIBA APB.
President Wu gave to the best boxers the opportunityto forge sustainable careers within the AIBA structure.
Opening the door to Pro’s in RioOlympic Games was a bold and courageous step in our sport’s history, with thetrue interpretation of the strong will of all boxing fans to start thereunification of boxing under only one organizing body.
·The New Scoring System, the removal of head guards forelite boxers, the Extraordinary Congress to begin, with new updated Rules, thenext Olympic Cycle, are the last innovations for the better future of ourbeloved sport.
The role of AIBA President has beena highly demanding one, but as President says, the work is never done.
Under President WU’s leadership,AIBA reached a record of 200 National Federation members. Thanks to keep inclose touch with them all and President Wu has made it his priority andcommitment to the AIBA Member Federations with endless travel, dedication andpresence for all kind of events: commemorations, celebrations, cultural,political and social meetings; supporting all grassroots programs around theworld.
President WU, is an incomparable exampleof dedication, solidarity and Olympic spirit.
In this full promotional activity,we have to thank another person: Mrs. Wu! She prepared the departures andnonstop travels; she endured long absences and patiently awaited the return ofher husband.
It is really true that near a greatman there is always a great woman. Thank you, Mrs. WU, from all of us.
